About me

Daniel is the past Chairman and Global CEO of Wunderman - one of the nine $1B+ WPP companies. Under his leadership the company tripled in size to reach 7500 + people in 70+ countries and 170 offices.

Daniel led an aggressive strategy acquiring 18 best-in-class interactive and analytics firms that lead to the gain of global account relationships with IBM, Microsoft and Nokia, which along with Ford are the agency’s largest accounts.

Daniel served as member of the Davos WEF Media & Entertainment in 2010 and as a member of the Direct Marketing Association’s Executive Board and Chair of its Marketing and Communications Committee 2004 to 2008. Daniel is a past president of the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival’s and was a member of its inaugural Titanium jury. Wunderman work was recognized with the coveted Cannes Lions Direct Grand Prix two years in a row.

His knowledge of the industry led him to appear on industry panels such as Fox Business Network, CNBC, CNN and become a frequent source of quotes and interviews for leading trade and business publications. He is featured on Who's Who in America 2008-2010; Top 100 BtoB Marketer 2005-2012. He received several awards for his work with charitable organizations and is a former board member of the largest US Boys and Girls Club of America.

He received an MBA from Tulane University. A doctoral student at the French CNRS, his Economics thesis focused on “Bullionist controversies from the discovery of the New World to David Ricardo.” He joined the French Navy to train as an underwater commando operative and then the Navy HQ as a liaison officer. The next logical move was to join Ogilvy & Mather in NYC as an Account Executive.

He enjoys backcountry skiing and taking his 960 Pounds Harley-Davidson on extended journeys.
