IAS will be part of a group of 26 international intermediaries – mainly from Europe – meeting in Copenhagen for the next three days for the AdForum Worldwide Summit Scandinavia. It promises to be “three days of hectic” while we meet 15 major advertising and media agencies during a series of meetings in places that I cannot pronounce but which sound fascinating.
While it is will be all business, AdForum has selected venues that will make you swoon. The Opera House, Turning Torso (the highest building in Scandinavia) and a scenic trip across the Oresund bridge to get there.
Worldwide agencies such as Grey, Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann Erikson and EuroRSCG are all on the agenda, as are some highly creative shops such as Crispin Porter and Bogusky, TAXI, They and Perfect Fools.
Some awards judging on Thursday with EuroRSCG and the CBI awards, some speed dating on Friday with Jung von Matt, Gyro:HSR and Media Consulta will round off the week. More news on arrival tomorrow in Copenhagen. That’s it for now as I head off to the airport. No delays expected as the ash cloud [@theashcloud] seems to be dissipating – but who knows? This summit was originally to take place in April and had to be delayed – we will see how it goes this week!
Bye for now.
Johanna
