I am the Chief Digital Officer for Ogilvy & Mather in North America, and I have been with Ogilvy for almost three years.
What is unique is my world is the pace of innovation in the digital space and the challenge to keep up with it so we can bring some clarity and leadership to our clients! It is both a challenge and the reason why I get so excited to get up every morning.
Digital is changing every single facet of the marketing and communication world. Through digital, we are innovating new and better ways to listen to consumer needs and ideas, to engage with them with substance and relevance, and to involve them in co-creating brand experiences. Digital is also allowing consumers to regain some power in their interactions with brands. I believe it is the best thing that has happened to Marketers. This shift of power is forcing all of us (Marketers, Agencies, Publishers) to think differently and to answer the key question: “What value are we offering consumers in exchange for their attention?”.
A definite highlight of my career at Ogilvy involves creating opportunities for people to get better at their job through training or mentoring.
