At the DraftFCB cocktail party, the AdForum team had a chance to interview the founder of the famous “Gunn Report”, M. Donald Gunn! He was in tow with Hervé De Clerck, the Chairman of Act-Responsible and AdForum.
Donald Gunn has made his complete “agency” career at Leo Burnett beginning in London, then Johannesburg and Amsterdam to become Leo Burnett’s worldwide head of creative resources. He is the initiator of the famous Leo Burnett Cannes Predictions expected each year all around the world to see in advance the potential Lions winners.
In September 98, Donald left Leo Burnett to become the first president of the Cannes International Advertising Festival. Then, he launched his famous Gunn report which started in 1999 combining the winners lists from all around the world to establish the annual worldwide league table for the industry in TV, print and interactive categories. It is considered as the “creative” ranking of advertising.
