Tonight, Cannes has rewarded the Dutch agency Tribal DDB for their film “Carousel” directed by Adam Berg (Production Company Stink Digital) for the Philips Ambilight Cinema 21:9. A frozen moment of 2 minutes 20 seconds to follow in only single track with cops, robbers dressed up as clowns in the middle of explosions, shots and broken glasses. All of this with very beautiful and recognizable music.

Many have experienced this cinematic viewing on the internet: www.philips.com/cinema. At any time the users can see for themselves what the difference between 21:9 (cinema experience) and 16:9 is really like, Ambilight can be turned on or off, and users can grab the film and move it back and forth. The interactive score responds to this and plays both backwards and forwards. Within the film are three more films, taking the viewer “back in time” to give him an insight into how the film was made.

Congratulations to Tribal DDB
